Winter Hood is a warm and practical combination of a neck warmer and hood. It is worked with 1 strand of Heavy Merino and 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout, and both flat and in the round.
The front and back pieces are worked back and forth with ribbing around the edges. You then pick up stitches for the hood and work the neck in the round before working and shaping the rest of the hood back and forth in stockinette stitch. The crown is shaped with German short rows and grafted using Kitchener stitch. The Winter Hood is finished with a ribbed face band.
